EGOT, an acronym for the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards, is the designation given to people who have won all four of the major American art awards. To date, only eighteen people have achieved EGOT status.

Five quarters memorializing women are being launched each year beginning in 2022 and continuing through 2025. The honorees for 2022 include Maya Angelou, Sally Ride, Wilma Mankiller, and Adeline Otero-Warren. The fifth quarter in the American Women Quarters program which began shipping in late October 2022 features Anna May Wong.
October 2022 Newsletter – Voice Actresses
When the movies started in the late 1800s, there was no sound; hence the name – the silent film era. Actresses who worked in the movies at the time portrayed emotions and feelings without voices.

Twenty-five more films were added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2021. The oldest was produced in 1902 and the newest in 2008. In this newsletter, we profile women from Hollywood: Her Story associated with seven of those films, which are selected based on historical, cultural, and aesthetic contributions.
